Abstract
This standard specifies the technical requirements and recommended practices for the pre-investigation, design, materials, equipment, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, operation, inspection, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems for submarine pipelines in the oil and petrochemical natural gas industries. This standard applies to the design, modification, and repair of carbon steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, flexible pipes, and riser sections below the average water level in seawater or on the seabed.
