Abstract
This standard specifies the terminology of rim contours, the detection points and items for contour shapes, as well as the design and usage methods of ball-belt rulers, flat-belt rulers, and gauges.
This standard is applicable to the detection of the following rim contour shapes: 5° deep groove rims (5° DC), 15° deep groove rims (15° DC), semi-deep groove rims, and 5° flat bottom rims (5° FB), as well as fully sloped bottom rims.
