GB/T 17737.318-2018 Coaxial communication cables—Part 1-318:Mechanical test methods—Heat performance tests
Abstract
This part of GB/T 17737 is applicable to coaxial communication cables. It specifies the test methods for determining the following performance: -- Thermal flow resistance of the medium: the ability of the medium to withstand mechanical deformation caused by radial pressure applied through the inner conductor at high temperatures; -- Thermal exposure resistance: the ability of the medium or sheath to withstand high temperatures; -- Thermal performance of semi-rigid cables: the ability of the structure of semi-rigid cables to withstand medium expansion at high temperatures; -- Dimensional stability: the amount of displacement between the various components of the cable, in order to verify the suitability of the cable for use with connectors.
