GB/T 2423.38-2021 Environmental testing—Part 2:Test methods—Test R:Water test method and guidance
Abstract
This document specifies test methods applicable to products that may be subject to drip, flushing, immersion, or high-pressure water during transportation, storage, or use. It evaluates whether the product's casing, covers, and seals can ensure the proper functioning of equipment and components after or during the water test. The test methods specified in this document should not be considered as general corrosion tests. Due to the high severity level, the water tests defined in other documents are generally not used to simulate natural rainfall. Therefore, in addition to general water tests, this document also includes artificial rainfall tests based on natural conditions, but typically does not consider natural rainfall with high wind speeds. The guidelines in this document provide guidance on the applicability of the tests and the selection of test severity levels.
