Abstract
This standard specifies the method for the determination of perfluorooctane sulfonyl compounds (PFOS) in fluorochemical products and consumer products by high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of perfluorooctane sulfonyl compounds (PFOS) in fluorochemical products and consumer products. Fluorochemical products include fluorine-containing aqueous coatings, foam fire-extinguishing materials, detergents, and fabric finishing agents; consumer products specifically refer to non-stick cookware.
The detection limit of the standard, calculated in terms of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, is 0.0002% for fluorochemical products and 0.4 μg/m2 for consumer products.
