GB/T 2039-2024 Metallic materials—Uniaxial creep testing method in tension
Abstract
This document specifies the following methods:
a) Continuous creep tests with continuous monitoring of elongation;
b) Intermittent creep tests with regular measurement of elongation;
c) Creep rupture (endurance) tests, where only the rupture time is typically measured;
d) Verification tests under a specified stress for a predetermined time, without recording elongation or elongation rate.
Note: Creep tests can be conducted until the specimen ruptures, or they can be stopped before rupture.
This document applies to creep (endurance) tests on smooth specimens and notched specimens.
