Abstract
This standard applies to iron gluconate, a food nutrient fortifier, which is prepared by chemical reaction, processing, and purification using gluconic acid or gluconic acid-δ-lactone as the main raw materials, together with ferrous sulfate, gluconic acid and ferrous carbonate, or reduced iron powder. This standard also applies to iron gluconate, a food additive.
