Abstract
This standard establishes a common conceptual framework for health indicators in the field of health informatics. Its purpose is to promote the development of common vocabulary and conceptual definitions within the framework. The framework: - Defines the necessary and appropriate dimensions and sub-dimensions for describing population health and the performance of healthcare systems; - Is broad (high-level) and can be applied to various healthcare systems; - Is comprehensive, encompassing all factors related to health outcomes, healthcare system performance, and applications, as well as regional and national differences.
