The chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following content:
This document specifies the safety requirements for dry electric irons and steam electric irons for household and similar purposes, including the safety requirements for steam electric irons with a separate water tank or evaporator with a capacity not exceeding 5 L.
This document applies to dry electric irons and steam electric irons for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
Appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public, such as electric irons used by non-professionals in stores, light industrial sites, and farms, are also within the scope of this document.
This document addresses the common hazards posed by appliances encountered by all individuals in and around residential areas. However, this document generally does not consider the following situations:
