This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage of polyolefin separators (referred to as separators) for lithium-ion batteries.
This standard applies to separators for lithium-ion batteries primarily made from polyolefin resin.
Coated polyolefin separators for lithium-ion batteries or separators for lithium-ion batteries made from other materials may refer to this standard for implementation.
