Abstract
This standard specifies the determination methods for fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose in food.
The first method of this standard is applicable to the determination of fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose in food, and the second method is applicable to the determination of sucrose in food.
The "first method" is high-performance liquid chromatography, which is suitable for the determination of fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose in foods such as cereals, dairy products, fruit and vegetable products, honey, syrup, and beverages.
The "second method" is the acid hydrolysis Reinecke's method, which is suitable for the determination of sucrose in food.
