Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of bentonite. This standard applies to bentonite used in casting, metallurgical pellets, drilling mud, and civil engineering. This standard does not apply to processed products whose structure has been altered by treatment with inorganic acids or organic substances.
