This standard specifies the models, markings, structures, and materials of automotive timing belts (hereinafter referred to as belts), their dimensions, measurement of the length of the pitch line, measurement of lateral swing, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, as well as packaging and storage. This standard applies to automotive timing belt transmissions.
