Abstract
This part of GB/T 12706 specifies the structure, dimensions, and test requirements for fixed-installation extruded insulated power cables rated at voltages of 6 kV to 30 kV used in distribution networks or industrial installations.
When determining the application of cables, it is recommended to consider the potential risk of radial water ingress. This part includes so-called vertically water-resistant structured cables and their tests.
This part does not include cables intended for special installation and operating conditions, such as overhead cables, those used in the mining industry, nuclear power plants (inside and near the containment), and cables used underwater or on ships.
