Abstract
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of caprolactam and caprolactam salts in food simulants.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of caprolactam and caprolactam salts in four food simulants, including water, 3% (by mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (by volume fraction) ethanol solution, and olive oil.
The lower limit for the determination of caprolactam in the three water-based food simulants, including water, 3% (by mass concentration) acetic acid solution, and 10% (by volume fraction) ethanol solution, is 5 mg/L, and the lower limit for the determination of caprolactam in olive oil is 5 mg/kg, where the caprolactam salt is calculated based on caprolactam.
