Abstract
This standard specifies the classification and lifting modes of slings used for port loading and unloading, their maximum working loads, technical requirements, inspection, storage and maintenance, usage, inspection, and the technical conditions for their scrapping.
This standard applies to chain slings, steel wire rope slings, and fiber rope slings used to connect port loading and unloading machinery with cargo.
