Abstract
This section specifies the names, structures, textures, compositions, various lithofacies, the occurrence of igneous rocks, magmatic processes, rock assemblages, sedimentary environments, sedimentary facies, and types and methods of metamorphic processes, as well as other geological data classification and codes involving three major types of rocks.
This section is applicable to the construction of various geological and mineral information systems and serves as a fundamental standard for establishing database standard systems and data dictionaries, as well as for formulating standards for various geological data file formats.
