Abstract
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, measurement methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and transportation of microphones.
This standard applies to microphones used in general sound system equipment for audio applications such as language and music, but not to wireless microphones or digital microphones.
The microphones subject to this standard include devices such as transformers, preamplifiers, or other components that constitute a complete microphone system, as well as all equipment with output terminals specified by the manufacturer.
