This document describes the classification and marking of non-metallic gaskets for marine flanges (hereinafter referred to as gaskets), testing methods, and specifies performance requirements, inspection rules, as well as requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of non-metallic gaskets used for flange connections in marine piping systems and their accessories.
