GB/T 19183.1-2024 Mechanical structures for electrical and electronic equipment—Outdoor enclosures—Part 1:Design guidelines
Abstract
This document contains design guidelines for outdoor enclosures of electrical and electronic equipment, which are widely applicable to mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic devices installed using modular design.
The purpose of this document is:
——To provide a summary specification focusing on the outdoor application requirements of enclosures used in fixed installations without climate protection;
——To ensure the integrity of products in outdoor conditions and simplify the selection of outdoor enclosures from different suppliers.
These enclosures can be used to install any equipment and protect outdoor-installed devices against harmful environmental effects. The installed equipment may include, but is not limited to, plug-in boxes or chassis that comply with the IEC 60917 series or IEC 60297 series. A typical outdoor enclosure is shown in Figure 1.
