GB/T 15843.3-2016

This part of GB/T 15843 specifies the entity authentication mechanism using digital signature technology. There are two authentication mechanisms: single-way authentication of a single entity, and mutual authentication between two entities. The mechanisms specified in this part use time-varying parameters such as timestamps, serial numbers, or random numbers to prevent previously valid authentication information from being accepted or repeatedly accepted. If a timestamp or serial number is used, single-way authentication only requires one transmission, while mutual authentication requires two transmissions. If a challenge-response method using random numbers is used, single-way authentication requires two transmissions, and mutual authentication requires three transmissions, two transmissions in parallel, or five transmissions (depending on the mechanism used). This part applies to all applications and devices with authentication requirements.
