Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, and test methods for automotive diesel fuel; sampling, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and safety.
This standard applies to automotive diesel fuel used in compression-ignition engines, which is derived from petroleum or contains additives to improve its performance. This standard does not apply to automotive diesel fuel that contains biodiesel as a blending component.
