YY/T 1043.2-2018 Dentistry—Dental units—Part 2:Air,water,suction and wastewater systems
Abstract
The requirements and test methods specified in this part of YY/T 1043 are applicable to:
a) The configuration of dental treatment machine connectors, which are used to provide compressed air, water, suction, and pipe drainage for wastewater;
b) The materials, design, and structure of the air and water systems in dental treatment machines;
c) The quality of the input water and input air;
d) The performance of the suction system in dental treatment machines.
This part also specifies requirements for user manuals and technical instructions.
Due to the limitations of this part, dental treatment machines that meet the requirements of this part are not suitable for life-support treatment of mobile patients, nor for oral surgical treatment requiring sterile air and sterile water supply. This part does not include silver-mercury alloy separators.
