Abstract
This standard specifies the sampling batches and quantities of samples for emission spectroscopy analysis of casting alloys, test blocks and molds, casting of test blocks, preparation of samples, precautions, and storage of samples for emission spectroscopy analysis.
This standard applies to the preparation of samples for emission spectroscopy analysis of liquid (melted) metals for casting steel, cast iron, cast aluminum alloys, cast copper alloys, cast zinc alloys, and cast magnesium alloys.
Other casting alloys can refer to this standard for implementation.
