Abstract
This standard specifies the quality requirements, allowable tolerances, packaging, appearance, and labeling for fresh apples of various grades. This standard applies to apples (Malus domestica Borkh.) supplied to consumers as fresh fruit, except those intended for processing. The varieties included in this standard are Fuji, Marshal, Golden Delicious, Gala, Tongmu No.1, Huaxia, Pink Lady, Australian Green Apple, Jonagold, Qingguan, Guoguang, Huaguan, Red General, Sansha, and Wanglin. Other unlisted varieties may also be used as a reference.
