GB/T 5480-2008 Test methods for mineral wool and its products
Abstract
This standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions, test conditions, sample selection, test methods, and test records for the verticality, flatness, dimensions, density, average fiber diameter, slag ball content, acidity coefficient, moisture absorption, oil content, and water absorption of mineral wool and its products. This standard applies to the determination of various performance characteristics of glass wool, rock wool, slag wool, aluminum silicate wool, and their products. Other similar insulation materials can also be used as reference. For mineral wool pipe and shell products, the water absorption test should use the capillary penetration test, and the moisture absorption test is only applicable to uncoated products.
