Abstract
This document describes the method for determining the residual styrene monomer content in polystyrene (PS), impact-resistant polystyrene (PS-I), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), and styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) resins using gas chromatography:
—— Method A: Solution method;
—— Method B: Solution-precipitation method;
—— Method C: Headspace method.
This document is applicable to determining the residual styrene monomer content in PS, PS-I, ABS, and SAN resins, and is also suitable for simultaneously determining the content of other volatile aromatic hydrocarbons in the samples.
