Abstract
This standard specifies the calibration and application rules for instruments used to detect changes in the metal cross-sectional area and damage of ferromagnetic steel wire ropes by electromagnetic, magnetic flux, magnetic leakage, and remanent magnetism methods. If all parties to the contract agree, this standard can be applied to various ferromagnetic steel wire ropes.
