Abstract
This part of GB/T 223 specifies the determination of molybdenum content by the direct photometry method using thiocyanate and by the extraction spectrophotometry method using thiocyanate and butyl acetate. This part of the method I is suitable for the determination of molybdenum content in medium and low alloy steels, high-temperature alloy steels, and precision alloys with a mass fraction of 0.10% to 2.00%; this part of the method II is suitable for the determination of molybdenum content in cast iron, carbon steel, and alloy steel with a mass fraction of 0.0025% to 0.20%.
