This document specifies the characteristics and tests of insulating bushings (hereinafter referred to as bushings).
This document applies to electrical equipment and devices used in three-phase AC systems with a maximum voltage of over 1,000 V and a frequency of 15 Hz to 60 Hz, such as electrical appliances, machinery, transformers, switches, and other power equipment, as defined in Chapter 3.
By agreement between the supplier and the purchaser, part or all of this document applies to the following bushings:
—— Bushings for non-three-phase AC systems;
—— Bushings for high-voltage DC systems;
—— Bushings for test transformers;
—— Bushings for capacitors.
The special requirements and tests for transformer bushings in this document also apply to reactor bushings.
This document applies to bushings that are produced and sold separately. Bushings that form part of electrical equipment and cannot be tested according to this document should be tested together with the electrical equipment.
