GB/T 4854.3-2022 Acoustics—Reference zero for the calibration of audiometric equipment—Part 3:Reference equivalent threshold vibratory force levels for pure tones and bone vibrators
Abstract
The following content specified in this document applies to the calibration of bone vibrators used in pure-tone bone conduction hearing tests.
a) The reference equivalent threshold vibration force level, corresponding to the hearing threshold of normal young people in otorhinolaryngology;
b) The basic characteristics of the bone vibrator and its coupling method with the subject and the force coupler;
c) The basic characteristics and reference level of the masking noise applied to the non-test ear.
For guidance on calibrating the audiometer, please refer to Appendix B.
The reference equivalent threshold vibration force level refers to the vibration force level transmitted to a specific type of force coupler by the vibrator, which is equal to the vibration force level induced when triggering the normal hearing threshold on the mastoid under specified test conditions and with the power supply turned on.
Note 1: The provisional difference in the reference equivalent threshold vibration force level between the forehead and the mastoid is provided in Appendix C.
Note 2: The standard method for conducting bone conduction hearing tests is specified in ISO 8253-1.
