Abstract
This part of GB/T 23981 specifies the method for determining the hiding power (by contrast ratio measurement) of white or light-colored paint films with a tristimulus value Y greater than 25. In this part, the tristimulus value method is applicable to color paint films applied at a coating rate of 20 m2/L on black-and-white cardboard paper or colorless transparent polyester films. In the latter case, the tristimulus value Y is measured by placing the coated polyester film on a black and a white base plate successively. The reflectance method in this part is applicable to color paint films applied with a fixed applicator on black-and-white cardboard paper or colorless transparent polyester films. In the latter case, the reflectance is measured by placing the coated polyester film on a black and a white base plate successively. This part is applicable to the determination of the contrast ratio of white or light-colored paint with a tristimulus value Y greater than 25.
