YY/T 0339-2019 Suction catheters for use in the respiratory tract
Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for suction catheters made of flexible materials intended for use in the respiratory tract, including open and closed suction catheters.
This standard applies to suction catheters with a curved tip (such as Coudé catheters) or suction catheters with an aspiration collection device. Such suction catheters are not considered special suction catheters.
This standard does not apply to suction catheters intended for use with flammable anesthetic gases or drugs, laser or electrosurgical equipment.
Note: For guidelines on airway management during upper respiratory tract laser surgery, please refer to ISO/TR 11991 [6].
