Abstract
This standard applies to low-molecular-weight fructooligosaccharides, which are food nutritional enhancers. Low-molecular-weight fructooligosaccharides are a mixture of trehalose (GF2) to trehalose octaose (GF7) and fructose disaccharides (F2) to fructose octaose (F8), obtained from chicory (or Jerusalem artichoke) by partial enzymatic hydrolysis, membrane separation, purification, and drying, or a mixture of trehalose (GF2) to trehalose hexose (GF5), obtained from sucrose by the action of β-fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus niger or Aspergillus oryzae, followed by purification and drying.
