This standard applies to automatic or non-automatic household electric tumble dryers that use or do not use cold water sources, and those with or without heating elements. This standard does not apply to tumble dryers that use combustible gases or other fuels as heat sources.
This standard specifies and defines the main performance characteristics and test methods for tumble dryers for household and similar purposes.
