Abstract
This document specifies the terms and definitions, naming, type testing, test methods, packaging, marking, and labeling of insulating resins used in power cable accessories. This document applies to insulating resins used in power cable accessories. Materials that meet the requirements of this document satisfy the confirmed performance levels. However, in a specific application, users select materials based on the specific performance requirements needed in actual applications, not just according to this document. The materials in this document are used in low- and medium-voltage cable accessories, so their electrical performance has been verified as part of the components. EN 50393 and IEC 60502-4 contain corresponding examples.
