Abstract
This standard specifies the application of phage diagnostic methods of the Enterobacteriaceae family to test for Salmonella, Shigella, and diarrhea-causing Escherichia coli in food products.
This standard is applicable to the testing of Salmonella, Shigella, and diarrhea-causing Escherichia coli in all types of food and samples from foodborne disease incidents.
This standard is applicable to the testing of food industry workers for intestinal carriage of Salmonella and Shigella.
