This standard specifies the emission limits and monitoring requirements for water pollutants and air pollutants, as well as the implementation and supervision measures for biopharmaceutical enterprises (including production facilities) and biomedical R&D institutions. The emission control requirements for water pollutants specified in this standard apply to the direct or indirect discharge of water pollutants by enterprises outside their legal boundaries. This standard applies to the control and management of water and air pollutants in existing biopharmaceutical enterprises (including production facilities) and biomedical R&D institutions, as well as to the environmental impact assessments, environmental protection facility designs, completion acceptance, pollution discharge permits, and post-operational control and management of water and air pollutants for new, modified, and expanded biopharmaceutical enterprises (including production facilities) and biomedical R&D institutions. This standard also applies to biopharmaceutical enterprises (including production facilities) and biomedical R&D institutions that prepare drugs for animals.
