This section stipulates the bibliographic description items and their order, the identifiers used for description, the text used for description, the sources of description information, and the detailed rules for description items, etc. This section is mainly used for the bibliographic description of ancient Chinese books. The bibliographic description of ancient books in various ethnic minority languages can be used as a reference. This section is applicable to the compilation of national bibliographies and various types of catalogues. This section does not involve the organizational rules of ancient book catalogues.
