Abstract
This standard specifies the content and structure of the world manufacturer's identification code. The world manufacturer's identification code (WMI) is the first part of the vehicle identification code (VIN) described in GB 16735.
This standard applies to automobiles and their incomplete vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, and mopeds.
Other vehicles requiring VIN marking may refer to this standard for implementation.
