GB/T 2408-2008 Plastics—Determination of burning characteristics—Horizontal and vertical test
Abstract
This standard specifies the laboratory measurement method for the combustion performance of plastic and non-metallic material samples under 50 W flame conditions, either horizontally or vertically.
This standard specifies the determination of the linear combustion rate, the afterglow/afterglow time, and the combustion length of the samples.
This standard applies to solids and foam materials with an apparent density of not less than 250 kg/m3 measured according to GB/T 6343, and does not apply to materials that curl up after being exposed to flames but do not ignite; for thin and soft materials, ISO 9773 should be used.
