LY/T 1667-2019 Machinery for forestry—Operator protective structures—Laboratory tests and performance requirements
Abstract
This standard specifies the laboratory testing methods and performance requirements for operator protection structures (OPS) on forestry machinery. This standard applies to mobile forestry machinery defined in ISO 6814, which is used for logging, collaborative operations, transportation, and timber harvesting. The design of OPS provides operators with reasonable protection, enabling them to avoid penetrating objects such as saplings, branches, and broken winch steel ropes in forestry production and prevent puncture injuries, except for small projectiles like chain teeth. OPS that meet this performance standard cannot absolutely protect operators' safety in all possible environments, but its purpose is to minimize the harm to operators under normal operating conditions as much as possible.
