Abstract
This document describes the method of measuring the compression hardness (Shore hardness) of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber using the following Shore hardness scales:
—— Scale A is suitable for rubber with a normal hardness range;
—— Scale D is suitable for rubber with a high hardness range;
—— Scale AO is suitable for rubber and sponges with a low hardness range;
—— Scale AM is suitable for thin rubber samples with a normal hardness range.
