Abstract
This document describes the methods for determining the sulfur content in manganese iron, manganese silicon alloys, manganese nitride, and metallic manganese using infrared absorption and combustion neutralization titration methods.
This document is applicable to the determination of sulfur content in manganese iron, manganese silicon alloys, manganese nitride, and metallic manganese. The measurement range (mass fraction) of Method 1 is 0.003% to 0.120%; the measurement range (mass fraction) of Method 2 is 0.015% to 0.120%. Method 2 is not applicable to the determination of sulfur content in manganese nitride.
