GB/T 18442.5-2019 Active

This part of GB/T 18442 specifies the test methods and inspection rules for fixed vacuum-insulated cryogenic pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as "cryogenic vessels") during the manufacturing process and after completion.
This part is applicable to cryogenic vessels that meet the following conditions simultaneously:
a) The working pressure of the inner container is not less than 0.1 MPa;
b) The geometric volume is not less than 1 m3;
c) The insulation method is vacuum powder insulation, vacuum composite insulation, or high vacuum multi-layer insulation;
d) The storage medium is a refrigerated liquefied gas with a standard boiling point not lower than -196℃.
This part is not applicable to cryogenic vessels within the following scope:
a) The materials of the inner container and shell are non-ferrous metals or non-metals;
b) Spherical structures;
c) Insulation methods using stacking;
d) Mobile ones;
e) Cryogenic vessels storing refrigerated liquefied gases with a standard boiling point lower than -196℃;
f) Cryogenic vessels storing media classified as toxic gases according to GB 12268;
g) Cryogenic vessels with special requirements for defense military equipment, etc.
