Abstract
1.1 This standard specifies the preparation method and testing procedures for measuring the absorbed dose of ionizing radiation in water using the acidic aqueous solution of ferrous sulfate as the dose measurement system. This system, also known as the Fricke dose measurement system, consists of a dosimeter and related analytical instruments. 1.2 This standard specifies the procedure for determining the Fricke dosimeter using spectrophotometry.
