Abstract
This part of GB/T 30921 specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography and high-performance capillary electrophoresis methods for determining the content of 4-carboxybenzaldehyde (4-CBA) and p-toluic acid (p-TOL) in industrial-grade phthalic acid (PTA).
The high-performance liquid chromatography method specified in this part is suitable for determining the content of 4-CBA and p-TOL in PTA samples with concentrations of more than 2 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg, respectively; the high-performance capillary electrophoresis method is suitable for determining the content of 4-CBA and p-TOL in PTA samples with concentrations of more than 1 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg, respectively.
