Abstract
This document provides users with information on the differences between industrial converter transformers and converter transformers for HVDC transmission in terms of design, structure, testing, and operating conditions compared to conventional transformers used in power systems. Additionally, it provides manufacturers with the technical background of GB/T 18494.1—2014 and GB/T 18494.2—2022.
This document is intended to supplement GB/T 13499—2002, but it does not replace GB/T 13499—2002, as the general principles contained in GB/T 13499—2002 also apply to converter transformers.
