GB/T 9771.4-2008

This part of GB/T 9771 specifies the requirements for the geometry, optical properties, transmission characteristics, and mechanical and environmental performance of B2 type dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fibers, and stipulates the measurement methods for fiber characteristics. The zero-dispersion wavelength of this type of fiber is generally around 1550 nm, and the optimal operating wavelength is in the 1550 nm range; however, some fiber design types can also support coarse wavelength division multiplexing applications in the range of 1460 nm to 1625 nm. This part is applicable to B2 type dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fibers used in communication cables and other information transmission devices.
