Abstract
This standard specifies the installation, inspection, maintenance, and scrapping standards for steel ropes used in ropeways.
This standard applies to steel ropes used in passenger and freight overhead ropeways, ground cable cars, and haulage ropeways, but not to temporary freight ropeways and steel ropes used in forestry ropeways.
